As part of the broader impacts for EQuIPD, the grant has partnered with Baltimore City Schools to pilot a professional development (PD) series centered on developing a facilitative coaching model within a district. Professional development series are an element of the grant’s sustainability model to continue the great results with our EQuIPD teachers and school districts. Teachers in both Manatee and Sarasota counties in Florida have also joined the series in addition to the curriculum team for Baltimore City Schools.
This professional development series is designed to run for five months, with 2 hours sessions every other week. The series begins with developing a model of facilitative coaching and what that could look like in your program. The series will then create a foundational understanding and coaching application of conceptual modeling, system thinking, and inquiry-based learning
